LEON takes the M8 Wild Card route, giving Bangkok two MLBB stories to follow
LEON is headed to the M8 Wild Card, while Bacon Time and TENACITY enter MCT SEA. Their different routes give Thailand’s December calendar a compelling local thread.

A clear destination for the Thai championMCT SEA gives BAC and TEN their own stakesThe final qualifying stretch has room for new namesBangkok’s December MLBB calendar already has a strong local storyline. LEON chose the M8 Wild Card after winning MSL Thailand Season 2. Bacon Time and TENACITY will represent Thailand at MCT SEA. The domestic season has left three familiar teams heading towards two distinct tests.
MOONTON confirmed those destinations on October 19, followed by its fuller M8 format announcement on October 22. Looking ahead from October 30, the interesting question is how the routes will connect: regional competition will determine some teams’ next steps, while LEON already has its place in the Wild Card field.

A clear destination for the Thai champion
LEON earned the right to choose its next international event by beating Bacon Time 4–3 in the domestic final. Its Wild Card selection gives the next chapter a clear focus. A place in that tournament still requires a successful qualification run to reach the M8 Main Stage.
The published format makes that run particularly interesting to watch. BO1 group games put a spotlight on preparation and immediate responses; the BO5 bracket that decides the last qualifying place gives teams more room to adapt across a series. Watching a team move between those rhythms should tell us more than a domestic title alone.

MCT SEA gives BAC and TEN their own stakes
MCT SEA has group play scheduled for December 9–10 and knockout playoffs for December 11–13 at Bangkok’s ICONSIAM. Its top two finishers qualify directly for the M8 Main Stage; third and fourth move into the Wild Card. BAC and TEN therefore have a regional competition with meaningful outcomes at several stages.
For me, the appeal is continuity. Thai supporters can carry their interest in a domestic team into a wider field, with a clear consequence attached to each stage. A series becomes easier to care about when its result changes the team’s next destination. There is room for several local stories to develop through December.

The final qualifying stretch has room for new names
The M8 Wild Card will award three Main Stage places to a ten-team field. Each five-team group sends its winner straight through. The second- and third-placed teams enter a cross-group BO5 elimination bracket for the remaining place. Group placement and longer-series adaptation will each have their moment in that story.
There is a useful connection for Indonesian and Filipino viewers, too. MCT SEA’s announced open-league group includes the champions of MDL Indonesia, MDL Philippines and Malaysia’s MAL. They still need to earn their way into the regional playoffs, so this pathway should introduce another set of teams worth following before the world championship.
The confirmed destinations give this preview its foundation. Full opponents, individual match times and subsequent amendments should come from the latest organizer notices. What makes Bangkok appealing at this point is the sequence taking shape: the Thai champion’s next test, regional teams chasing their next step, and places in Istanbul at the end of those runs.
